最近チェキに自分の興味が向かっていることを自覚しています。
完全にカメラ任せで、あとから写真を編集したり、加工したりということも稀で、ただただレンズの効果をどうしようか、フィルムの効果をどれにしようか、という選択を楽しんでいるような気がします。
物の本では写真の起源は写実、すなわちそこにあるものを忠実に再現することにあった、ということのようです（つまりは絵画にとって代わるもの）。この観点からすると今の自分はそこにあるリアルはそっちのけで、何となく雰囲気が良かったり、色合いが現実離れしているものに惹かれているようです。知らず知らずのうちに現実逃避に走っているのでしょうか(笑)。
それでも、シャッターを切る瞬間は楽しいですし、メーカーの趣意どおりにカメラを活用しているので「何が悪いんだ」という気持ちもなくはないです（でも何となく後ろめたいんです。。。）
何よりもチェキの魅力はその場でプリントできて、その場にいる人々と思い出を共有できるところにあると思います。
これまでは自分の趣味として写真を撮っていましたが、人との交流ができたり、その場の雰囲気を思い出として共有できるということに気づいて、自分の写真への向き合い方が少しずつ変わっていくのではないかという予感がしています（残念ながら、まだ変わったという実感はありませんが(笑)）。
もしそうであれば、それはきっととても素敵なことではないでしょうか。
What is real？
Recently, I’ve found myself drawn to my Instax Cheki camera. Instead of editing or processing photos afterwards, I simply enjoy choosing the lens effect and film effect.
Historically, photography originated as a means to faithfully reproduce reality—essentially to replace painting. From this perspective, I realize I’m often more drawn to atmospheric or surreal colors rather than capturing reality as it is. Perhaps subconsciously I’m escaping reality.🫠
Still, the moment I press the shutter is always thrilling, and I genuinely enjoy using the camera just as the manufacturer intended.
The true charm of Instax Cheki lies in its ability to print photos instantly and share those moments with the people around you. Up until now, photography was a personal hobby, but I’ve begun to appreciate the way it facilitates interaction and the sharing of experiences. I have a feeling my approach to photography might gradually change (though, admittedly, I haven’t felt a significant change just yet😋).
If that’s the case, wouldn’t it be wonderful?
