現在使用しているカメラは以下の二機種になります。
- FUJIFILM X-H2 （メイン）
- Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III （サブ）
E-M1は写真教室の初期や写真学校に通っていた頃から使っています。軽量なのに先進的な機能が盛り込まれていて（プロキャプチャーモードとかライブNDが入ってます！）、今でも十分に活躍してくれるカメラです。
初心者の時から7.5段の手ぶれ補正に慣れてしまったので、正直写真撮影時の構えとかは考えることがなかったです。
単焦点のサブ機的な位置づけです。
X-H2は画素数も多く、引き伸ばしてみてもA1くらいのサイズなら全く問題ないと感じています。
ただ、ファイルサイズが大きくなるので、その分管理は大変になります。
やはり最大の魅力はフィルムシミュレーションでしょうか。僕はフィルム時代を知らないので、それほど深い感銘を受けるわけではないですが、フィルムを取り扱っている会社が作った色合いだとか風情だとかはやはり一日の長があるのかもしれません。
もちろん現像ソフト等でいかようにでも編集はできるのですが、僕には核となるプリセットがないので、こういった機能があるととても助かります。
AF性能についてはマニュアル撮影することが多いので正直良く分かっていません。
どちらのカメラも長年愛用しているので、思い出深い大好きなカメラです。
What kind of Cameras am I using?
Currently, I am using the following two cameras:
- FUJIFILM X-H2 (Main)
- Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark III (Sub)
I’ve been using the E-M1 since the early days of my photography classes and photography school. Despite its lightweight design, it boasts advanced features like Pro Capture Mode and Live ND, making it a reliable camera even today. Since I got used to the 7.5-stop image stabilization from the beginning, I honestly never had to think much about my posture while shooting. It’s positioned as a prime lens sub-camera.
The X-H2 has a high pixel count, and I feel that even when enlarged to A1 size, there are no issues at all. However, the larger file sizes mean that managing them can be a bit challenging. The biggest attraction is probably the film simulation. Although I didn’t experience the film era, the colors and atmosphere created by a company that handles film have a certain charm. Of course, you can edit as you like with photo editing software, but since I don’t have a core preset in my mind, features like this are very helpful.
As for the AF performance, I often shoot manually, so I honestly don’t know much about it.
Both cameras have been my beloved companions for many years, and I have a lot of fond memories with them.
