INSTAX Cheki
先日、某カメラ量販店の福箱（インスタントカメラ&フィルムセット）を、多分チェキ（INSTAX”チェキ” ）だろうと99%の核心をもって購入しました。
結果は予想通りで、出荷終了品（2024年10月）のため福箱として販売されたようです。
製造中止の商品だったことはご愛嬌ですが、むしろとてもお買い得だったような気がします。
早速開封してみて、一枚写真を撮ったのですが、昔父親が嬉しそうに買ってきたポラロイドカメラのことを思い出しました。
思えばあれが多分、僕が初めてカメラなるものに触れた瞬間だったと思います。最初はグレー一色のフィルムが見る見るうちに現像されていくのを不思議に思って見ていました。
今は高解像度のデジカメでビシバシエッジの効いた写真を撮ることができますが、チェキの醸し出すアンニュイな雰囲気は、ちょっと昔に戻ったみたいで甘酸っぱい気持ちになります。
まさに”エモい”体験です。
もちろん、フィルムにプリントするだけでなく、ちゃんと撮影後の写真をスマホアプリから読み取り編集・管理する機能も備えていますのでそのあたりはご安心を。
たまにはアナログに触れるのもいいですね。
気分転換にまた、チェキも活用していきたいと思います。
INSTAX Cheki
Recently, I purchased a lucky bag (instant camera & film set) from a certain camera store, with 99% certainty that it would be an INSTAX Cheki.
As expected, it was indeed a Cheki, and it seems it was sold as a lucky bag because it was a discontinued product (October 2024). Despite being a discontinued item, I feel it was a great deal.
As soon as I opened it and took a photo, I was reminded of the Polaroid camera my father happily brought home when I was a child.
I think that was probably the first time I ever touched a camera. I remember being fascinated by how the initially gray film gradually developed into a picture.
Nowadays, we can take high-resolution photos with digital cameras, but the nostalgic atmosphere that Cheki creates makes me feel like I’ve gone back in time, evoking bittersweet emotions. It’s truly an “emo” experience.
Of course, Cheki not only prints on film but also has a function to read, edit, and manage photos via a smartphone app, so you can rest assured. It’s nice to occasionally engage with analog technology. I plan to continue using Cheki for a change of pace.
